Halawa Products Recalled for Undeclared Allergens

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) and Odeco Trading Inc. are recalling Aroma brand Halawa products for undeclared milk, pistachios, sesame seeds, and wheat. These are four of the major food allergens. Anyone who is allergic to these ingredients could have a serious allergic reaction if they eat these products. There is no word on whether or not any reactions have been reported to date.

The recalled products are Aroma brand Halawa Rahesh Shaar in 500 gram packages. The codes on the product are P: 05/04/15 and E: 05/10/16 and the UPC number is 6 297000 107424. Also recalled is Aroma brand Halawa Rahesh Mix in 500 gram packages. The codes on the product are P: 05/04/15 and E: 05/10/16 and the UPC number is 6 297000 107417.

If you purchased either of these products and are allergic to milk, pistachios, sesame seeds, and/or wheat, do not eat it. Throw it away or return it to the place of purchase for a full refund.
