If you bought this product, do not eat it, even if you are going to cook it. Throw it away in a sealed package, or take it back to the retailer where you bought it for a refund. Wash your hands well with soap and water after handling these products.

Then clean out your refrigerator with a mild bleach solution to kill any remaining bacteria. Listeria bacteria can grow at refrigerator temperatures, and freezing doesn’t kill it.

If you ate these products, monitor yourself for the symptoms of listeriosis for the next 70 days. Those symptoms include high fever, stiff neck, severe headache, nausea, and diarrhea. Pregnant women may only have a mild illness, but listeriosis can cause miscarriage and stillbirth. If you do feel sick see your doctor.
