The chocolate chips affected by the recall were sold in 24-ounce bags in ShopRite, The Fresh Grocer, and other retail stores throughout the Northeastern United States. The bags are stamped with the UPC code 041190 02668 and “Best If Used By” dates of April 11, 2019 and April 12, 2019.

Individuals who are allergic or sensitive to the milk allergen may become ill if they consume these semi-sweet chocolate chips. They are advised to either throw the packages away or to return them to their place of purchase for a full refund.
