California Jerky Factory of California is recalling about 1,238 pounds of beef jerky products due to a processing deviation that may have led to under processed products. No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with this issue and this recall.
These products were produced and packaged on December 4, 2017, December 5, 2017, January 2, 2018, and January 24, 2018. The recalled products include: 3-ounce packages containing, “Beef Jerky Store Beef Jerky Original Crispy,” with “EXP” dates of 120418, 120518 and 010219; 6-ounce packages containing, “Beef Jerky Store Beef Jerky Original Crispy,” with “EXP” dates of 120418, 120518 and 010219; 3-ounce packages containing, “Beef Jerky Store Beef Jerky Teriyaki,” with “EXP” dates of 120418, 120518 and 010219; 6-ounce packages containing, “Beef Jerky Store Beef Jerky Teriyaki,” with “EXP” dates of 120418, 120518 and 010219; and 1.5-ounce packages containing, “California Jerky Factory Crispy Beef Jerky Original,” with “EXP” dates of 120418, 120518 and 010219.
Also recalled are: 3-ounce packages containing, “California Jerky Factory Crispy Beef Jerky Original,” with “EXP” dates of 120418, 120518 and 010219; 7-ounce packages containing, “California Jerky Factory Crispy Beef Jerky Original,” with “EXP” dates of 120418, 120518 and 010219; 1.5-ounce packages containing, “California Jerky Factory Crispy Beef Jerky Teriyaki,” with “EXP” dates of 120418, 120518 and 010219; 3-ounce packages containing, “California Jerky Factory Crispy Beef Jerky Teriyaki,” with “EXP” dates of 120418, 120518 and 010219; and 7-ounce packages containing, “California Jerky Factory Crispy Beef Jerky Teriyaki,” with “EXP” dates of 120418, 120518 and 010219. Finally, 10-pound packages containing, “Eurasia DELIGHT Beef Jerky Du Du Bo Kho,” with “EXP” date 012419; 10-pound packages containing, “Vua Kho Bo Beef Jerky Du Du Bo Kho,” with “EXP” date 012419; and 10-pound packages containing, “Vua Kho Bo Beef Jerky Lemon Grass,” with “EXP” date 012419 are recalled. These products all have the establishment number “EST. 18995” inside the USDA mark of inspection. They were sent to retail locations in California, Hawaii and Nevada and were also offered for sale over the internet.
If you bought any of these products, don’t eat them. Discard them in a secure garbage receptacle, or take them back to the store where you bought them for a full refund.
