Two Recalls; One in Canada for Seaweed and Biscuits and One in the U.S. For Almonds

Two recalls have been issued; one is in the U.S. and the other in Canada. No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with these problems in the U.S., but illnesses have been reported in Canada.

The first recall is for Southern Grove Unsalted Almonds, for undeclared wheat and soy. Anyone who is allergic to those ingredients, or who has celiac disease, could have a serious reaction if they consume this product, but no reports of adverse reactions have been received.

The item is Southern Grove Almond Unsalted in 14 ounce stand up pouch bags. the UPC number is UPC 0 41498 24647 1 and a date code of Best By SEP 25 2018 KN. The product was sold at ALDI stores in Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Virginia, and West Virginia. Wasabi almonds were packaged in the unsalted almond container.

The second recall is for Paldo brand Seafood Snack products and Lotte brand Rancho Choco Biscuits for undeclared peanuts, one of the major food allergens. These products were sold nationally in Canada at the retail level.

All codes where peanut is not declared on the label are recalled. The recalled products include Paldo Roasted Seaweed in 5 g x 3 packages, with outer UPC number 8 801128 542531 and inner UPC number 8 801128 542524; Paldo Seaweed Snack Lower in Sodium in 5 g x 3 packages, with outer UPC number 6 48436 33107 9 and inner UPC number 6 48436 30095 2; Paldo Roasted Seaweed Reduced in Sodium in 5 g x 3 packages, with outer UPC number 6 48436 33107 9 and inner UPC number 6 48436 30095 2; Paldo Seaweed Snack Hot & Spicy in 5 g x 3 packages, and outer UPC number 6 48436 33105 5 and inner number 6 48436 30094 5; and Paldo Seafood Snack Wasabi flavored in 5 x 3 packages, with outer UPC number 6 48436 10078 1 and inner UPC number 6 48436 10075 0. Finally, Lotte brand Kancho Choco Biscuit in 42 gram packages is recalled, with UPC number 8 801062 144815.

If you purchased these products and cannot eat the undeclared ingredients, throw them away. You can take them back to the place of purchase for a full refund.
