Chips Ahoy Cookies Recalled For Solidified Ingredient

Mondelez Global is recalling some of their Chips Ahoy Chewy Cookies because one of the ingredients used to make the cookies contains an “unexpected solidified ingredient.” This may pose a choking or injury hazard. Some reports of adverse health effects have been received. The recall notice did not elaborate on what those problems are.

The recalled product is Chips Ahoy Chewy Cookie in 13 ounce packages. The UPC number on the product is 0 44000 03223 4. The best when used by dates, which are located on the left top side of the package by the lift tab, are 07SEP2019, 08SEP2019, 14SEP2019, and 15SEP2019. The cookies were sold in the United States at the retail level. No other Chips Ahoy product is included in this recall.

If you purchased these cookies, do not eat them. Throw them away or return them to the store where you bought them for a full refund.
