Kroger is recalling steaks and ground beef for possible E. coli O157:H7 contamination. These products were sold from April 23 though June 7, 2019. This recall has not yet been posted on the USDA website. There have been no confirmed reports of illness due to the consumption of these products.
The recalled items list is difficult to read. The recalled products are bone-in ribeye steaks, boneless ribeye steaks, and in-store produced ground beef with two labels only. The labels read
“Beef Ground ST FP #1321, and “Beef Ground ST 1# #1626.” The list is:

This recall has been issued for Kroger stores in Greater Cincinnati (including Northern Kentucky and Dayton, Ohio, plus South Eastern Indiana. The beef may be contaminated with E. coli O157:H7, which can cause severe illness.
These products may be frozen in consumers’ home freezers. Please check your freezer carefully to see if you have any of these products. If you do, throw them away in a sealed container in a secure garbage can with a tight fitting lid. You can also take the products back to the place of purchase for a full refund.
The symptoms of an E. coli infection include severe and painful abdominal cramps, and diarrhea that is bloody or watery. These symptoms usually start 3 to 7 days after exposure to the pathogen. Anyone experiencing these symptoms should see a doctor.
