You can see the long list of recalled products at the FDA web site, including the UPC numbers, package sizes, and code dates of the recalled products. They include Mrs. Stratton’s Chicken Salad, Piggly Wiggly Chicken Salad, Sneaky Pete’s Gourmet Chicken Salad, Mrs. Stratton’s Gourmet Chicken Salad, Laura Lynn Chunky Chicken Salad, Ballard’s Supreme White Meat Chicken Salad, Fresh Buy White Chicken Salad, Star Chicken Salad, IGA Chicken Salad, Star Private Stock Chicken Salad, Star Classic Chicken Salad, Five Points Deli Chicken Salad, Grand Strand Chicken Salad, Ballard’s Farm Chicken Salad, Carlie C’s Chicken Salad, Mrs. Stratton’s Tuna Salad, Ballard’s Farm Tuna Salad, and Laura Lynn Tuna Salad, among others.

If you ate any of these recalled salads, monitor your health for the symptoms of listeriosis for the next 70 days; that’s how long it can take to get sick because this pathogen has a long incubation period. If you do feel sick with high fever, stiff neck, severe headache, nausea, and diarrhea, see your doctor. Pregnant women need to be very careful about this illness, since it can cause miscarriage and stillbirth, even though the woman may only be mildly ill.
