Hill Country Fare Juice Drinks Recalled For Undeclared Milk Allergen

H-E-B is voluntarily recalling four varieties of Hill Country Fare Juice Drinks because they contain milk, one of the  major food allergens, that is not declared on the label. Anyone who is allergic to milk or who is lactose intolerant could have a serious reaction or illness if they drink these products. No illnesses or allergic reactions have been reported to the company to date.

The recalled products are sold in one gallon sizes. They include Hill Country Fare Pink Lemonade, Citrus Punch, Fruit Drink, and Grape Drink. They were sold at H-E-B stores in Texas and Mexico, and in Joe V’s and Mi Tienda stores. This recall does not affect anything sold at Central Market.

All of these Hill Country Fare juice drink products have been removed from store shelves. More details about the products: Pink Lemonade has UPC number 4122005174 and code date 8/1/2020. Citrus Punch has UPC number 4122081863 and code dates 9/30/2020 and 10/1/2020. Fruit Drink has UPC number 4122005172 and code dates 8/1/2020 and 8/2/2020. And finally, Grape Drink has UPC number 4122005176 and code date 8/2/2020. The code date is printed on the back of the jug beneath the lid.

If you bought any of those Hill Country Fare juice drink products with those UPC numbers and code dates, sold at the stores mentioned, and can’t drink milk, don’t consume them. Throw them away or take them back to the store where you bought them for a full refund.
