Selection Chocolate Drink Mix Recalled For Undeclared Milk

Metro Ontario Inc. is recalling Selection Chocolate Drink Mix in Canada because it contains milk, one of the major food allergens, that is not declared on the label. Anyone who is allergic to milk proteins or who is lactose intolerant could have a serious reaction if they eat this product.

The recalled product is Selection Chocolate Drink Mix that is packaged in and sold in 425 gram packages. The UPC number on the product is 0 59749 96229 2 and the code on the product is BB 2021 AL 19A. This product was sold in Ontario and Quebec in Canada at the retail level.

If you bought this product and are allergic to milk or have lactose intolerance, don’t consume it. Throw it away or take it back to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

Symptoms of milk allergies and sensitivities can vary from mild to severe. They can include itching or tingling around the lips or mouth, vomiting, hives, wheezing, and coughing or shortness of breath. A milk allergy can also cause anaphylaxis, which is life-threatening. Anyone experiencing severe reactions should see a doctor as soon as possible. Many children do outgrow milk allergies, but people who don’t outgrow it need to avoid that product.
