Everything Sprouts is expanding their recall of products for possible E. coli and Salmonella contamination to include their Robust Radish Mix. The company recalled alfalfa sprouts on August 22, 2026, when the FDA informed them there was an E. coli and Salmonella outbreak linked to the sprouts. That outbreak has sickened at least 55 people in 15 states. No illnesses have been reported to the company to date in connection with the consumption;tion of this particular product. The recalling firm is Everything Sprouts of Minneapolis, Minnesota.
There are three strains of E. coli and one strain of Salmonella sickening people in this outbreak: E. coli O26:H11, E. coli O103:H25, E. coli O168:H8, and Salmonella Agona. Some people are sick with more than just one strain of these pathogens. Those strains of E. coli can produce Shiga toxins, which can kill red blood cells in the bloodstream, which travel to the kidneys and cause hemolytic uremic syndrome, a type of kidney failure.
The recalled product was distributed by Everything Sprouts from August 13, 2025 to August 26, 2026 to wholesale distributors and to grocery stores located in Minnesota and Wisconsin. The recalled item is Robust Radish Mix that is packaged in 5 ounce cups. The UPC number that is stamped on the product label is 087906000075, and the lot codes are 223, 226, 230, and 233.
If you bought this product with those codes and that UPC number, do not eat it. You can throw it away in a secure garbage can, or you can take it back to the store where you purchased it for a full refund. Wash your hands with soap and water after handling this product.
