Tyson Chicken Nuggets Recalled for Foreign Materials

Tyson Foods of Missouri is recalling about 75,230 pounds of frozen, fully cooked chicken nuggets products because they may be contaminated with small pieces of plastic. The problem was traced to a product scraper inside a blending machine. The firm received several consumer complaints about the problem, and some consumers have had minor oral injuries while eating the nuggets. The products include 5-pound bags of "Tyson Fully Cooked White Meat Chicken Nuggets - 16142-928" with a "best if used by" date of Jan 26 2015 or Feb 16 2015. The manufacturer codes “0264SDL0315 through 19” and “0474SDL0311 through 14” are on the bags. Plum Organics Recalls Baby Food Pouches

Plum Organics is recalling a limited quantity of two varieties of its World Baby pouch products because of "intermittent damage" to the plastic spouts during manufacturing. That could cause small fragments to loosen, detach, and present a choking hazard. Plum Organics has received 14 consumer complaints about damaged spouts, but no injuries have been reported to date. The recalled products include World Baby Italy - Zucchini & Spinach with Pasta Marinara. The product has a "Best By" date of 09Sep14 (September 9, 2014). Turkey Hill Recalling Ice Cream for Metal Debris

Turkey Hill is recalling several types of ice cream because it may be contaminated with foreign materials in the form of metal debris.  There is no word on potential injuries associated with the consumption of these products. The first product recalled is Turkey Hill Premium Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup Ice Cream, in 1 pint containers. The sell by date of the product is 10/04/2014.  The second recalled product is Turkey Hill Stuff'd Moose Tracks Frozen Dairy Dessert in 1 pint containers. Central Valley Meat Company Recalls Ground Beef for Foreign Materials

Central Valley Meat Company of California is recalling about 89,720 pounds of ground beef that may contain small pieces of plastic. The product is 40 pound cases containing 10 pound chubs of "Fine Ground Beef". The products have the establishment number "Est. 6063A" inside the USDA mark of inspection. Ground Beef Recalled for Foreign Materials

Central Valley Meat Company is recalling 58,240 pounds of ground beef that may contain small pieces of plastic. The products are 40 pound cases containing 10 pound chubs of "Fine Ground Beef". The products have the establishment number "Est. 6063A" inside the USDA mark of inspection. The beef was produced on April 1, 2013 and has case codes "6063A3091A" or "6063A3091B". The ground beef was shipped to distribution centers in Arkansas, California, Montana, and Texas and were intended for use by the National School Lunch Program. Concentrated MOTRIN Infants’ Drops Recalled

McNeil Consumer Healthcare is recalling three lots, or about 200,000 bottles, of Concentrated MOTRIN Infants' Drops Original Berry Flavor 1/2 ounce fl. bottles. Foreign materials of tiny plastic particles about the size of a poppy seed were identified in a different product lot during manufacturing. Officials determined that the particles originated in a shipment from a third party supplier of ibuprofen, the active ingredient in the recalled product. The recall is being conducted out of an abundance of caution because the Infants' Motrin was made with the same batch of active ingredient. Olam Tomato Processors Recalling Salsa For Glass Pieces

Olam Tomato Processors is recalling three production codes of their chunky salsa because it may contain large glass pieces. The product was sold at Dollar Tree and Deals stores, Dollar Express, and Dollar Bill$. No injuries have been reported to date. The recalled products are Mild Chunky Salsa with UPC number 3927759137, production code L12142 and best by date of June 2015 and Mild Chunky Salsa with UPC number 3927759137, production code L04093 and best by date October 2015. Tip Top Poultry Recalls Mechanically Separated Chicken for Foreign Materials

Tip Top Poultry of Georgia is recalling about 18,000 pounds of mechanically separated chicken product because it may contain pieces of plastic. The plastic pieces are from a washer that broke. The problem was discovered at another establishment as they were using the product to make a soup base. No reports of illness have been reported to date. The product is 250 pound drums of Tip Top roasted mechanically separated chicken. The product was packaged on April 29, 2013 and was distributed to one establishment for further processing for institutional use. Precautionary Recall for Texas Gulf Shrimp sold at HEB

Galveston Shrimp Company is issuing a precautionary voluntary recall of its pre-packaged Texas Gulf Shrimp because foreign material was found in a bag. The shrimp is sold in HEB stores. There is no word on what the foreign material is. If you have purchased this product, please check your fridge and freezer to see if you have it on hand; if so, return it to the place of purchase for a refund. Some of the recalled products are Medium Raw Wild Gulf Brown Shrimp, 51/60 Count and Medium Raw Wild Gulf White Shrimp 51/60 count.
