Loki Fish Recalls Wild Smoked Salmon for Listeria

Loki Fish Company of Seattle is recalling smoked salmon that may be contaminated with Listeria. At the time of the recall, no illnesses had been reported. However, consumers who have purchased this produce should not eat it as Listeria can cause serious illness and death. The company is recalling two lots of Wild Smoked Pink Salmon Portions atht were sold in clear plastic packages weighing between 4 and 7 ounces. The recalled lot numbers, 121215 5594 and 121215 5613, are found on the back of the package. Symptoms of a  Listeria infection include high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea. Among pregnant women Listeria can cause miscarriages and stillbirths.
