Special K Cereal Recalled for Possible Glass Fragments

Kellogg Company is recalling some batches of its Special K Red Berries cereal because they may contain pieces of glass. The recall covers only that variety of the cereal. The cereal was sold nationwide.

Important RecallThe recalled cereal includes the 11.2 ounce package of Special K Red Berries cereal with UPC number 38000 59923 and “better if used before” dates of DEC 02 2013 KNC 105 00:13 through DEC 02 2013 KNC 105 02:30. Also recalled are the 22.4-ounce twin pack of the cereal, with UPC number 38000 78356 and “better if used before” date of NOV 30 2013 KNA 105 07:00 to NOV 30 2013 KNA 105 08:51 and NOV 30 2013 KNB 105 15:00 to NOV 30 KNB 105 17:05. Finally, the 37 ounce package of the cereal is recalled, with UPC number 38000 20940 and “better if used before” dates of NOV 30 2013 KNB 107 17:31 to NOV 30 2013 KNB 107 20:05. If the package has letters KXA, KXB, or KXC following the “better if used before” date, it is not affected by the recall.

If you purchased these sizes of that specific cereal, do not eat the product. Contact Kellogg’s for a replacement coupon. The company may also want to retrieve the product from you for evaluation.
