Frozen Pork Products Recalled in Canada for E. coli O157:H7

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) and Vinh Fat Food Products are recalling various frozen pork products from the marketplace because they may be contaminated with E. coli O157:H7. While there have been no reported illnesses associated with the consumption of these products, there is an E. coli outbreak in Alberta, Canada related to raw pork products sold at V&T Meat and Food and Hiep Thanh Trading in Alberta. These newly recalled frozen pork products were also sold in Alberta.

The recalled products are Pork Spring Rolls, Pork Buns, and Pork Wontons in variable sizes with no UPC number. They were all sold exclusively from Vinh Fat Food Products at 10630 97th Street in Edmonton, Alberta. The affected selling dates were between July 10, 2014 and September 5, 2014 inclusively. You can see pictures of the recalled products at the CFIA web site.

If you purchased these products, do not eat them. Discard in a double bagged container or return to the place of purchase for a refund.

Comments

  1. Store name looks Vietnamese actually, but much of what you find in a Vietnamese store these days does come from China.

  2. Is this another product of China??
