In Canada, Chocolate Recalled for Undeclared Milk

In Canada, Elite brand Bittersweet Chocolate has been recalled for undeclared milk, one of the major food allergens. The chocolate is made by FoodFest International 2000 Inc. Anyone with an allergy to milk could have a serious reaction if they eat this product. No illness reports have been received to date.

The recalled product is Elite Bittersweet Chocolate in 85 gram packages, with UPC numberĀ 0 77245 10721 4. The code on the product is 1279 B3. It was distributed in Manitoba, Ontario, and Quebec. The recall was triggered by Canadian Food Inspection Agency test results.

If you purchased this product and are allergic to milk do not eat it. Discard it or return it to the place of purchase for a refund.
