In Canada, Sesame Paste Recalled for Undeclared Peanut

The Canadian Food Inspectoin Agency (CFIA) and JC Bunny Bunny Trading Company are recalling sesame paste because it contains undeclared peanut, one of the major food allergens. Those with an allergy to peanuts could have a life-threatening allergic reaction if they eat this product. No reactions or illnesses have been reported to date.

The recalled product has Chinese characters only. It is Sesame Paste sold in 400 gram packages. All codes where peanut is not declared on the label are recalled. The UPC number isĀ 6 922483 900032. It was sold in British Columbia at the retail level.

If you purchased this product and you are allergic to peanuts, do not eat it. Discard or return to the place of purchase for a full refund.
