In Canada, a Recall of Smoked Salmon Trim Products

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) is warning the public not to consume some refrigerated cold smoked sockeye salmon trim products because they may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.

The products were sold from February 16 to February 24, 2012 at the stores listed in the chart below. They may also have been sold unlabeled, over the counter at these same stores. If you’re not sure if you purchased this product, check with the retailer.

There have been no reported illnesses associated with the consumption of these products. For questions, call the CFIA at 1-800-442-2342.
