Kroger Recalls French Vanilla Ice Cream for Undeclared Pecans

Kroger is recalling select containers of Kroger Deluxe French Vanilla Ice Cream sold at the company’s Dillons, Gerbes, Bakers, King Soopers/City Market, Fry’s Food, and Smith’s Food and Drug because it may contain pecans, or tree nuts, not listed on the label. Anyone with an allergy or sensitivity to tree nuts may have a serious or life-threatening reaction if they eat the product. If you are not allergic to pecans, there is no safety issue.

The ice cream is sold in 48 fluid ounce cartons with a “sell by” date of June 12, 2013 with the UPC number 11110 50718. It was sold in the above mentioned stores in Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Kansas, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, Utah, and Wyoming. Kroger, Ralphs, Food 4 Less, Fred Meyer, and QFC stores are NOT included in this recall.
