Lin’s Farm Honey Recall Expanded

The Lin’s Farm honey recall from February 19, 2012 is being expanded to include more products. The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) and Israel’s Judaica Centre, also known as Israel Book and Gift, are recalling more products.

THe honey may contain harmful sulphonamide antibiotic drug residue. Anyone with an allergy to sulphonamides (or sulfonamides; it’s spelled both ways in the alert) may have a serious or life-threatening reaction if they consume the honey. The products were distributed in Alberta, Ontario, and Quebec. There have been no reported reactions associated with the consumption of these particular products.

For more information or if you have questions, call Israel’s Judaica Centre at 1-800-449-5918 or 1-416-256-2858 Ext. 23 or 29. Or you can call the CFIA at 1-800-442-2342.
