Spartan Central Kitchen Recalls Sandwiches and Salads

Michael Foods of Minnetonka, Minnesota and Spartan Central Kirtchen are recalling one lot code of hard-cooked eggs because of possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination. This is a recall for distributors and retail stores, not individual customers. The recall is for the same products recalled on January 28, 2012, but is aimed at distributors and store managers.

  • #741 Egg spread sandwich
  • #763 Small chef salad
  • #764 Large chef salad
  • #765 Seven layer salad
  • #801 No meat small chef salad
  • #802 No meat large chef salad
  • #803 No meat 7 layer salad

Spartan Central Kitchen is requesting that stores pull the above items and destroy them. For credit, contact Spartan Central Kitchen at 1-616-878-8940. Spartan Stores has received no confirmed illness reports associated with the consumption of these products.
