TWI Foods Cookie Recall Expands to U.S.

The recall of TWI Foods cookies in Canada has been expanded to the United States. Some of the products in that recall were shipped to the United States.

The FDA is warning consumers to avoid Crispy brand cookies and rusk because they contain undeclared milk and almonds, two of the eight major food allergens.

The foods were shipped to 28 distributors in these states:

  • New Mexico

  • Ohio
  • Oregon
  • Texas
  • Virginia
  • Washington

There have not been any illnesses or adverse reactions reported in connection with the consumption of these products. The symptoms of a food allergy include tingling in the mouth, flushed skin, rash, swelling of the lips, mouth, face, throat or tongue, wheezing, dizziness, breathing difficulties, and a drop in blood pressure.
