Andy Capp’s Hot Fries Recalled for Undeclared Soy

ConAgra Foods is recalling a limited number of Andy Capp’s Hot Fries that may contain undeclared soy, one of the major food allergens. Those with an allergy or severe sensitivity to soy may have a life-threatening allergic reaction if they eat the fries. There have been no reports of illness associated with the consumption of this product.

RecallThe product is Andy Capp’s Hot Fries that may contain Andy Capp’s Cheddar Fries, which do use soy as an ingredient. The product is packaged in 0.85-ounce blue poly bags with an Andy Capp’s graphic logo and picture of the product. The recalled products have Unit UPC number 00-0-26200-47168-6, Case UPC number 20-0-26200-47169-7, and Batch Code 5381232500. The sell-by date was August 17, 2013. The fries were shipped to distributors in New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania for distribution in Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, and Virginia.
