La Preferida Recalls Whole Pinto Beans for Improper Processing

La Preferida, Inc. is recalling 4,734 cases (56,808 cans) of La Preferida Whole Pinto Beans because some of the cans may not have been fully processed. That means pathogenic bacteria could be in the cans and anyone who eats the product may get sick. To date, there are no reported illnesses associated with the consumption of this product.

Recall SignageThe recalled product is La Preferida Whole Pinto Beans in 29 ounce cans. The can code is PINTO LP, BEST BY 01/03/2015 “Time” 3003. The products were distributed for sale nationwide from January 7, 2013 to February 6, 2013.
