Tropical Valley Foods is recalling Next by Nature Dark Chocolate Bananas because they may contain undeclared milk and walnuts, two of the major food allergens. No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with the consumption of this product.
The bananas are sold in 3 ounce bags with UPC number 8 17582 25600 4 and “best by date” of 12/18/2013 and 12/19/2013. They were sold to distributors in Michigan, Oregon, Colorado, and New Jersey between January 3, 2013 and January 10, 2013. The recall was initiated after a store notified Tropical Valley Foods that Dark Chocolate Walnuts were found in bags labeled Dark Chocolate Bananas.
