Trader Joe’s Salad Recalled for Undeclared Soy

World Class Distribution in California is recalling one specific lot of Trader Joe’s Southwest Salad because it may not list soy in the ingredient list. Soy is one of the major food allergens. Anyone with an allergy or severe sensitivity to soy may have a serious or life threatening reaction if they consume this product.

Recall SignageThe product is Trader Joe’s Southwest Salad with SKU number 56077 and a “Use by Date” of 11/2/13. It is packaged in a 9 ounce plastic clamshell. The Use by Date is printed on the front label. The 1,861 salads in this recall were sold in Trader Joe’s stores in Arizona, California, Nevada, New Mexico, Utah, and Texas. If you are allergic to soy, return this product to the place of purchase for a refund. There is a photo with this recall, but the photo is for Trader Joe’s Greek Salad, so we are not showing it.
