Wegmans Recalls Red Pepper Dip for Undeclared Milk and Eggs

Wegmans Food Markets is recalling 1,100 units of their roasted red pepper dip because it may have an incorrect ingredient label that does not list milk and eggs. No illnesses or allergic reactions have been reported to date.

The recalled product is Wegmans Food You Feel Good About Roasted Red Pepper Dip in 8 ounce tubs. The product has a best by date of 5/17/13 and the UPC number is 77890 23286. The dip was sold in Wegmans stores in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Maryland, and Massachusetts. The product was produced by Summer Fresh Salads, Inc. of Woodbridge, Ontario in Canada.

The recall was initiated after a customer contacted Wegmans’ consumer affairs department and told them about the discrepancy. If you are allergic to milk and/or eggs, return the product to the place of purchase for a refund.
