Whole Foods Recalls Spinach Dip for Undeclared Egg

Whole Foods Market Mid-Atlantic Region is recalling a spinach dip because it contains eggs, one of the major food allergens. No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with the consumption of this product.

Recall SignageThe recalled product is organic creamy spinach dip with a UPC number 0 00000 30901 1. It is sold in 12 ounce plastic containers with a use by date on or before 12/10/13, which is on the scale label. The dip was distributed to Whole Foods Market stores in Kentucky, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Virginia, Washington D.C. and New Jersey (Princeton and Marlton stores only).

Anyone with an allergy or severe sensitivity to eggs could have a serious or life-threatening reaction if they consume this product. If you purchased this dip and are allergic to eggs, return it to the place of purchase for a refund.
