In Canada, Bread Recalled for Undeclared Milk

In Canada, Care Bakery is recalling some bread products from the marketplace because they contain milk not declared on the label. Anyone with an allergy to milk could have a serious reaction if they consume these products. No illnesses have been reported to date.

The recalled items are all Care brand, and all have best before dates from June 2013 to March 20, 2014 where milk is not declared on the label. They are Dinner rolls in 6 roll size, with UPC numberĀ 8 57459 00003 3. Also recalled are White Bread with UPC numberĀ 8 57459 00004 0, and White Hamburger Buns in 4 bun packages with UPC number 8 57459 00002 6. Finally, White Deli Buns in 408 gram packages are recalled, with UPC number 8 57459 00001 9.

If you purchased any of these products and are allergic to milk, do not eat them. Return them to the place of purchase for a refund. You can see pictures of the product labels at the CFIA web site.
