In Canada, Pretzels Recalled for Undeclared Almonds

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency and Horizon Distributors are recalling pretzels because they contain undeclared almonds, one of the major food allergens. Anyone with an allergy or severe sensitivity to almonds, or tree nuts, could have a serious reaction if they consume this product. There is no word on whether or not any allergic reactions have been reported to date.

RecallThe recalled product is Mary’s Organic Crackers Sticks & Twigs Pretzels – Sea Salt in 212 gram containers. The code on the product is JAN 01 15 PR1433 and the UPC number is 8 97580 00051 9. It was sold in Alberta, British Columbia, and Saskatchewan at the retail level.

If you purchased this product and are allergic to almonds or tree nuts, do not eat it. Discard or return to the place of purchase for a refund.
