In Canada, Vegetables Recalled for Possible Listeria

Sobeys Inc. in Canada is recalling Compliments Brand Stir-Fry Style Vegetables from the marketplace for possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination. No illnesses have been reported associated with the consumption of this product. The product was sold in Ontario.

The recalled product is Compliments Stir-Fry Style Vegetables in 340 gram (12 ounce) packages. The best before date is 14 JA 21 and the UPC number isĀ 0 68820 10648 7.

If you purchased this product, return it to the place of purchase for a refund. If you ate this product, you must monitor yourself for the next 70 days for symptoms of listeriosis, because that’s how long it can take to get sick after you have been exposed to that bacteria. Symptoms include vomiting, fever, nausea, muscle aches, headache and neck stiffness. Pregnant women may have only a mild flu-like illness, but listeriosis can cause miscarriage and stillbirth. If you do become sick, visit your doctor and tell her that you ate this recalled product.
