In Canada, Zara’s Pasta Recalled for Undeclared Gluten

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency is recalling Zara’s Pasta brand products for undeclared gluten. Those with celiac disease or who are gluten intolerant could have serious health effects if they consume these products. There is no word on any illnesses or adverse reactions related to the consumption of these products.

Recall SignageThe recalled products include Zara’s Pasta Gluten-Free & Lactose-Free Linguini in 250 gram containers. The code on the product is Batch 082613, and the UPC number is 6 20353 03410 3. Also recalled is Zara’s Pasta Gluten-Free & Lactose-Free Butternut Squash Mezzaluna in 250 gram packages. The code on the product is Batch #32413, and the UPC number is 6 20353 03510 0. Finally, Zara’s Pasta Gluten-Free & Cow Milk-Free Goat Cheese & Green Pea Mezzaluna in 250 gram packages is recalled. The code on the product is Batch #31613 and the UPC number is 6 20353 03511 7. The products were distributed at the retail level in Alberta and British Columbia.

If you purchased any of these products and are allergic to gluten or have celiac disease, do not eat them. Return them to the place of purchase for a refund.
