In Canada, Ziyad Products Recalled for Undeclared Allergens

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) is recalling Ziyah brand Baba Ghanouj and Soup Base because they contain milk and sesame that is not declared on the label. Those food allergens could cause a serious or life-threatening reaction if anyone allergic to them consumes these products. No reports of allergic reactions have been receive to date.

The recalled products include Ziyad Baba Ghanouj Eggplant & Tahini Dip in 380 gram containers. The UPC number is 0 74265 00380 9 and all lot codes where sesame is not declared on the label are recalled. Also recalled is Ziyah Soup Starter Soup Base in 1 kg containers. The UPC number is 0 74265 00597 1 and all lot codes where milk is not declared on the label are recalled.

If you purchased these products and are allergic to milk and/or sesame, do not eat them. Discard or return to the place of purchase for a refund.
