Ocean Spray Recalls Craisins for Undeclared Peanuts

Ocean Spray is recalling two production lots of yogurt covered craisins (dried cranberries) because they may contain yogurt covered peanuts. Anyone with an allergy or severe sensitivity to peanuts could have a serious or life-threatening reaction if they consume this product. There have been three consumer complaints that the packages contained peanuts, but no illnesses have been reported to date.

The recalled product is 8 ounce pouches of Ocean Spray Greek Yogurt Covered Craisins Dried Cranberries. The UPC number is 31200 03719 and best by dates are February 10, 2015 and February 11, 2014. The products were distributed to retail stores in Alabama, Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Nebraska, New Hampshire, North Dakota, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Texas, Virginia and Wisconsin.

The packaging does contain a warning that the product is made on equipment that also processes nuts. If you purchased this product and are allergic to peanuts, do not eat it. Discard or return to the place of purchase for a refund.
