Snacks Made with Carob Powder Recalled for Salmonella

Snacks made with carob powder that was recalled for possible Salmonella contamination have themselves been recalled. Dancing Star Brand is recalling the products. No illnesses have been reported in association with the consumption of these products.

You can see the long list of recalled products with UPC numbers, production lot codes, and Julian dates at the FDA web site. They include Carob Supergreens Chunks of Energy, Date Flax with Turmeric Chunks of Energy, Rave Bites Carob Supergreens, Rave Bites Date Flax with Turmeric, and Bulk organic Carob powder. You can also see the product labels at the FDA site.

If you purchased these items, do not eat them. Dispose in a sealed container or return to the place of purchase for a refund.
