Tullia’s Recalls Pasta Sauce for Possible Botulism Risk

Tullia’s is recalling its Italian Meatless Pasta Sauce because a records review by the Washington State Department of Agriculture revealed that one batch of the sauce had a pH level high enough to allow the growth of Clostridium botulinum bacteria. This bacteria can produce a toxin that causes serious and possibly fatal foodborne illness. No illnesses have been reported to date.
