Bavarian Meats Recalled for Undeclared Soy

Bavarian Meats of Seattle Washington is recalling about 1,400 pounds of Bavarian Brand Loaf products because they contain soy, one of the major food allergens, that is not declared on the label. No illnesses have been reported to date.

Bavarian Meats RecallThe product was made with soy lecithin used as a releasing agent on the pans the product is baked in. The recalled product is Bavarian Meats Bavarian Brand Loaf in 5 pound, 1 pound, and 1/2 pound packages. The products have the establishment number “EST. 6431” inside the USDA mark of inspection. They were shipped to wholesale and retail locations in Hawaii, Idaho, Oregon, and Washington state.

If you purchased this product and are allergic to soy, do not eat it. Discard or return to the place of purchase for a refund.
