Campos Foods Recalls H-E-B Beef Burgers for Undeclared Wheat

Campos Foods of Tennessee is recalling about 136,950 pounds of beef products for undeclared wheat, one of the major food allergens. Those with an allergy to wheat or with celiac disease could have a serious reaction if they eat these products. No reports of adverse reactions have been received to date.

H-E-B Burger RecallThe recalled products are Ready-to-Eat cheese burgers, produced between August 22, 2014 and January 9, 2015. They include 15 pound cases containing eight 3.75 ounce burgers of “H-E-B Fully Cooked Thick n’ Tasty Bacon Cheese Burgers Natural Smoke Flavor Added” and 15 pound cases of eight 3.75-ounce burgers of “H-E-B Fully Cooked Thick n’ Tasty Cheese Burgers Natural Smoke Flavor Added.” You can see pictures of product labels at the USDA site.

The products have establishment number “EST. 2260 T” inside the USDA mark of inspection. They were shipped to retail locations in Texas. If you purchased these products and are allergic to wheat, do not eat them. Discard or return to the place of purchase for a refund.
