Swad Cumin Powder Recalled for Undeclared Peanuts

Raja Foods is recalling SWAD Cumin Powder because it may contain undeclared peanuts, one of the major food allergens. People with an allergy to peanuts could have a life-threatening allergic reaction if they eat this product. No illnesses or allergic reactions have been reported to date.

The recalled product, SWAD Cumin Powder, is sold in 14 ounce, clear plastic package marked with batch number 24714 on the back. The expiration date is September 2017. Sampling by the New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets Food Inspectors found that the product contained peanuts. It was sold in South Asian retail stores in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut.

If you purchased this product and are allergic to peanuts, do not eat it. Discard or return to the place of purchase for a refund.
