Twix Bismarck Doughnuts Recalled for Undeclared Peanuts

Northern Tier Bakery of St. Paul Park, Minnesota is recalling Twix Bismarck doughnuts because they may contain undeclared peanut, one of the major food allergens, that is not declared on the label. People with an allergy to peanuts could have a life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume this product. No illnesses have been reported to date.

Recall SignageThere is no evidence that any of the Twix Bismarck doughnuts contain a peanut allergen, but a third party shipped a product to the facility in packaging that didn’t reveal the presence of peanuts. Production has been suspended.

The recalled product is Twix Bismarck doughnuts distributed and sold between January 1, 2015, and January 14, 2015 at retail convenience stores in Minnesota and Wisconsin. It is a white frosted dough with a chopped Twix (candy) topping.

If you purchased this product and are allergic to peanuts, do not eat it. discard or return to the place of purchase for a refund.
