Whole Foods Recalls Macadamia Nuts for Possible Salmonella

Whole Foods Market is recalling packaged raw macadamia nuts because they may be contaminated with Salmonella bacteria. No illnesses have been reported to date.

The recalled product is Whole Foods Market Raw Macadamia Nuts in 5.6 ounce plastic tubs. The UPC number isĀ 7-23055-21415-3 and the sell-by dates are 4/22/15, 5/4/15, and 5/6/15. They were sold in Whole Foods Market, Greenlife Grocery, and Harry’s Farmers Market stores in Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee.

If you purchased this product, do not eat it. Discard in a double bagged or sealed container so other people and animals can’t eat it. You can return the receipt to the place of purchase for a refund.
