Bikaji Chowpati Bhelpuri Recalled for Possible Salmonella

Krishna Food Corporation of New Jersey is recalling 16 cartons of Bikaji Chowpati Bhelpuri for possible Salmonella contamination. This product is an Indian street food made of puffed rice, vegetables, and a tamarind sauce. No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with the consumption of this product.

The recalled product is Bikaji Chowpati Bhelpuri, net weight 300 grams or 10.58 ounces. The batch number is 2016 F97, and the Best Before date is June 2017. It is packaged within a pouch pack. The product was distributed in New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania at the retail level. Tests conducted by the FDA show the product is contaminated with Salmonella bacteria, according to the FDA notice.

If you purchased this product, do not eat it. Throw it away or take it back to the place of purchase for a full refund.
