Chef Hon Steamed Buns Recalled for Undeclared Egg

Peking Food of Brooklyn, New York is recalling Chef Hon Steamed Buns because they contain undeclared eggs, one of the major food allergens. Anyone who is allergic to eggs could have a serious or life-threatening reaction if they eat these products. No illnesses have been reported to date.

Chef Hon Steamed Buns Egg RecallThe recalled products are frozen. They are Chef Hon brand Steamed Bunds with Seafood & Vegetable in 1 pound 8 ounce flexible plastic bags. The UPC number for that product is 7 47518 00156 2. Also recalled is Chef Hon brand Steamed Buns with Seafood Marinated in XO-Sauce in 1 pound 8 ounce flexible plastic bags with UPC number 7 47518 00163 0. The following lots of these products are recalled: 16021 (BEST BEFORE 01/21/17), 15348 (Best Before 12/14/16), 15337 (BEST BEFORE 12/3/16), 15271 (BEST BEFORE 9/28/16), 15240 (BEST BEFORE 8/28/16), 15176 (BEST BEFORE 6/25/16), and 15120 (BEST BEFORE 4/30/16). The lot and “BEST BEFORE” codes are found on the front of the bag.

These recalled products were distributed to retail stores in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Kentucky, Ohio, Illinois, Michigan, Missouri, Alabama, Mississippi, Arkansas, Texas, and Puerto Rico. If you purchased either of these products with the above UPC numbers and codes, and are allergic to egg, do not eat them. Throw them away or return them to the place of purchase for a full refund.
