Dutch Farmstead Cheese Recalled for Salmonella

According to the FDA’s Weekly Enforcement Report for the week of April 13, 2016, Dutch Farmstead Gouda cheese has been recalled for possible Salmonella contamination. This product was sold in Texas, and distributed by Dutch Cheesemaking of Farwell, Texas. The recall began on March 8, 2016.

RecallThe recalled product is Dutch Farmstead Cheese Smoked Plain Gouda with code information “Sell by August 6, 2016.” The product tested positive for Salmonella bacteria. If you purchased this cheese, do not eat it. Throw it away in a sealed or double bagged package so other people and animals can’t eat it, or return it to the place of purchase for a refund. Wash your hands well with soap and water after handling this cheese.
