Fairway Candy Corn Recalled for Undeclared Egg

Fairway of New York is recalling their Candy Corn because it may contain undeclared egg, one of the major food allergens. Anyone who is allergic to egg could have a serious reaction if they eat this product. One person has reported an allergic reaction after eating this product.

The product is packaged in clear, plastic cello bags of varying weights. Each package weighs less than one pound. The product has Item Code 228402 XXXXXX. All “SELL BY” date codes are being recalled. It was sold in Fairway stores in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut, and through home delivery programs provided by Fairway E-commerce, Google, and Instacart.

The company has stopped distribution of the Fairway brand Candy Corn and has removed the product from store shelves. If you purchased this product and are allergic to egg, do not eat it. Throw it away or take it back to the store for a refund.
