Food Recall Roundup For Week of May 29, 2016

The recalls of frozen vegetable products and sunflower seed products for possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination finally slowed down the week ending May 29, 2016. But there were still four recalls for the sunflower seed products. All of these recalls are listed in reverse chronological order.

Tommee Tippee Sippee Cups were recalled for mold on May 27, 2016. That recall had 68 illnesses associated with it.

Burger’s Ozark Country Cured recalled pulled pork products for an incorrect label on May 27, 2016.

Sweet Earth Natural Foods recalled Big Sur Burritos for undeclared milk on May 27, 2016.

Sid Wainer and Sons recalled tart shells for undeclared eggs and coconut on May 27, 2016.

Taylor Farms Florida recalled Wawa Thai style chicken mango salad for undeclared wheat and sesame seed on May 26, 2016.

C.J. Dannemiller Company recalled sunflower kernels for possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination on May 24, 2016.

E.S. Foods recalled products containing sunflower seeds for possible Listeria contamination on May 24, 2016.

Troyer Cheese Company recalled Backroad Country Cranberry Nut Delight Mix, Honey Island Crunch Mix, Peanut Butter Pretzels, and Walnuts Halves and Pieces because they contained sunflower kernels that may have been contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes on May 24, 2016.

In Canada, Dr. Praeger’s brand Black Bean Veggie Burgers were recalled for possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination on May 24, 2016.

First Source recalled Alpine Valley, Wegmans, Flave Fitness, Gonzo, and other brands of products containing sunflower seeds for possible Listeria on May 23, 2016.
