New Year's PretzelGiant Eagle and Market District  New Year’s pretzels are being recalled for undeclared walnuts. Consumers with an allergy to walnuts should not eat these pretzels as they run the risk of serious allergic reaction.

All lots of New Year’s Pretzels prepared and sold individually from the Bakery department inside the Carmel Market District located at 11505 N Illinois Street in Carmel, Indiana since December 26 are being recalled. They were sold at Giant Eagle and Market District supermarkets in Pennsylvania and Ohio and at the Carmel Market District.

The product label for the New Year’s Pretzels, which contain walnuts, omitted walnuts as an allergen. A  customer with a walnut allergy issue alerted Giant Eagle to the problem.
