Ground Cumin Recalled for Undeclared Wheat

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency and ARZ Group are recalling ground cumin because it may contain undeclared wheat, one of the major food allergens. Anyone who is allergic to wheat, and those with celiac disease and gluten intolerance, who eats this product may have a serious reaction. There is no word on whether or not any illnesses have been reported to date.

Recall SignThe recalled product was sold in Ontario and Quebec at the retail level. It is ARZ Fine Foods Ground Cumin in 55 gram packages. The code on the product is 171151525 and the UPC number isĀ 8 28696 06128 6.

If you purchased this product and are allergic to wheat or cannot eat wheat or gluten, do not consume it. Discard it or return it to the place of purchase for a refund.
