ICA Gourmet Seasonings Recalled for Glass Shards

According to the FDA’s Weekly Enforcement Report for the week of March 30, 2016, Ingredients Corporation of America (ICA) is recalling seasoning mixes because glass shards were found in a sealed bag of dehydrated minced garlic. This garlic was used to make these products.

Recall WarningMost of these products were sold to food service establishments in large quantities, but some products were sold in smaller quantities. C & J Butcher Shop Recipe #10 BBQ Sauce was sold in 18.5 ounce and 763 ounce packages is recalled. The lot number of this product is 19226. It was sold in Mississippi, Alabama, Tennessee, and Texas. The other recalled product is Big Bob Gibson B-B-Q Seasoning and dry rub, sold in 6.35 ounce and 180.0225 gram packages. This was distributed by Mrs. Stratton’s Salads of Alabama. The UPC number for that product is 8366577777 and the lot number is 19207. It was also sold in Mississippi, Alabama, Tennessee, and Texas.

If you purchased either of these products, do not use it. Throw it away in a sealed container or return it to the place of purchase for a refund.
