Marie Callender’s Salisbury Steak and Molly’s Kitchen Macaroni & Beef Recall are being recalled for undeclared fish allergen. Consumers who have a fish allergy should not eat these products as they risk allergic reaction if they do.
ConAgra Foods Packaged Foods of Council Bluffs, Iowa issued the recall of about 84,340 pounds of the two beef products after it was discovered that they were inadvertently made with Worcestershire sauce and may contain fish (anchovies), a known allergen that is not declared on the product label.
The recalled items were produced between April 13 and April 14, 2016 and sold nationwide. The recalled products, which have the establishment number “EST. 1058” inside the USDA mark of inspection, are 14-oz. boxes of “Marie Callender’s Salisbury Steak with Roasted Potatoes and Home-Style Gravy served with Cheesy Broccoli & Cauliflower” with the package code 5014610500 and packaging date April 14, 2016; and 76-oz. package of “Molly’s Kitchen Macaroni & Beef with Tomato Sauce” with package code 5014610400 and packaging date April 13, 2016.
At the time of the recall, there were no confirmed reports of adverse reactions.
